Campfire Charcoal Drawings

Campfire charcoal is fun to play with. It is very soft, unpredictable and smears easily.

Ok, so this one was done using a charcoal pencil, lol. The pot holds 3 Gallons! It takes a big fire to get the water boiling in this.

I haven't been doing much drawing. But in another group, we are working through the Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain book. So, I thought rather than let this blog just vegetate, I would post the couple of drawings from that here. The first are marker drawings using a grid. You draw on the grid then let that help you transfer to your paper. I am not sure I like this, but, had to give it a try. I did not show the grid drawing for the flowers, just the end result. I probably won't use this grid process much, but it might come in handy somewhere in the future.

A clear piece of transparency paper mounted in a frame with grid drawn in perm. marker. The drawing is done with erasable marker. ie a transparency pen.

This is on paper and drawn with the permanent marker. I think you might see this same lady in an earlier post... drawn with out help from a grid.

This was done using the same process... I think the grid was distracting me and my concentration was off because of that.
